Introduction
With each passing day more users are switching to Microsoft’s Windows Vista operating system, and with the advent of DX 10 we are very close to seeing some of these games built for it. It’s only taken a year and we still don’t really have any applications in hand that show any worthy reason for the upgrade. Sure, you will see some more realistic fur in Lost Planet or enhanced water effects in Bioshock, but seriously there is nothing out there that will make you realize that you need Windows Vista or DX 10. The demo for Crysis is scheduled to be released on September 25th, the full game in early November. Once Crysis hits there will be frenzy for DX 10, Vista and probably a lot of hardware upgrading. Recently revealed is the fact that the destructible environment we’ve seen so many videos about will only be part of the feature set of the game in DX 10. Crytek, that hurts – I don’t like Vista, many people don’t like Vista. Once that’s been swallowed we can move on and begin to strategize. Vista needs memory and lots of it. For gamers 2GB is the minimum recommendation, enthusiasts will want to move to 4GB of memory. One could shop for 4 x 1GB kits or quite conveniently we are seeing 4GB kits of memory showing up.

Today we are taking a look at the OCZ 4GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 memory kit. OCZ has been supplying us with memory kits to review for awhile. All my personal systems run OCZ memory. There is just something about sticking with a company you trust for crucial pieces of hardware. So when OCZ sent over this kit I knew it would find a new home here.

Here is a look at the kit of memory that arrived.
