A Closer Look
With its simple lines, hair-line brush anodized treatment on the surface and sharp edges removed the LanCool PC-K1 is an elegant looking Case.

On the top of the PC-K1 are located the connections for 1394, USB, Earphone, Microphone, also the Power and Reset buttons. The door covering these controls is aluminum.

Taking a look at the back of the PC-K1 we can see there are a lot of ventilation holes and they are strategically placed. I loved the slotted PCI slot covers. I usually take mine out entirely to allow hot air to escape. At the back of the PC-K1 is an included 120mm exhaust fan. There are also two spots above the 120mm exhaust fan for external water cooling.

The profile of the PC-K1 is standard for a mid-tower Case. This is a pretty standard layout for a mid-tower Case. The housing uses a 0.8mm thick SECC and LanCool’s claims this is up to 40% tougher.

The 3.5” Hard Drive cage is unique on the PC-K1.

The LanCool PC-K1 features a Hard Drive anti-vibration function; with rubber grommets and thumb screws it reduces vibration noise. There is also a lot of space between the drives to allow cool air to pass and keep operating temperatures low.

Here is a look at the back of the LanCool PC-K1. There is an included 120mm exhaust fan, slotted PCI slot covers and ventilation holes all can be found at the back of the PC-K1 Case.

The LanCool PC-K1 comes with a few bags of parts. From a tool to install the stand offs for the motherboard installation to some cable clips, to the screws for mounting all the other hardware.

There is a 140mm intake fan that spins at a mere 900rpm. Keeping the noise levels low and cooling performance high.

The motherboard tray on the PC-K1 is removable and has clips on the back side to keep cables tidy.

Installation of a 5.25” drive is simple. Slide in the drive and the plastic mounting kit will secure it into position. Removal is just as simple in the PC-K1.

Other items we should mention are the ability to remove the top cover of the LanCool PC-K1 Case. This makes servicing your water cooling hardware easier or just to be able to access the Case more effectively during upgrades or hardware removal. The Power Supply bracket features supports to stabilize the Power Supply allowing for easy transport of the PC-K1 to Lan Parties or when just on the go.
